The Helping Hands...Loving Hearts Foundation is an organization set up to assist those individuals with a very rare and fatal disease, known as Acid Maltase Deficiency (AMD).  Helping Hands will provide financial assistance for various expenses needed for those with AMD, while waiting for a treatment to be available.

Helping Hands, Loving Hearts was founded in 1998 by Deborah Sokolosky.  Her dear friend Trae Kottler suffers from AMD and inspired her to organize an effort to raise funds in order to assist those with AMD.  A donation was made by a local Wichita company to get the foundation established.  Several other Wichita area companies and individuals assisted through donations which combined with Deborah's hard work and loving spirit resulted in several successful charitable events.  Deborah's efforts have inspired a handful of previous event attendees to join her in her efforts to help those with AMD.  This year we are all very excited about the community support we have had in preparing for the annual golf tournament and auction and are hopeful that we will be able to provide assistance to several families as they battle AMD.
